peacecamp 2015

Hello,
My name is victoria makhoul but people call me vicky.
I am a feminist Palestinian teenager that lives in Jerusalem in a Jewish neighborhood.
I study at hand in hand school in 10th grade.
My inspiration is bringing smiles on the faces and joy in the hearts of those who are around me.
Expressing my thoughts and feelings is a verry important principle that i always go by.
Also health and sports are a very important part of my life, it makes me feel happy and good about myself.
I hope I'll enjoy this trip, learn from it and remember it for the rest of my life.
I look forward to meet new people, making new friends and visiting new beautiful places such as Austria.

I'm Bisan Kadry, i'm a 16 year old student in an interfaith school called Hand in hand. I took part of the leadership course in the Jerusalem international YMCA last year, but this year I started my russian lessons that took place during the same time as the leadership course so I had to give up on it. Both my parents come from different villages in the north, but I was born in jerusalem and i've lived here since. I really love drawing and painting and that's why i chose art to be one of my high school majors along with other classes. The other major I chose is biology -which I find really interesting- and that's because I aim to be a nutritionist when I grow up. I like meeting people from different cultures and societies, hope i get to do that in the peacecamp!

My name is Ranin I am 16 and I live in Jerusalem
I expect to meet new people to be exposed to new opinions thoughts and experiences and to share my thoughts and opinions with other people.
I intend to contribute to peacecamp to respect and to listen to everyone and their thoughts and beliefs even if I don't agree with them, and I can pacify/appease/settle disputes and also I can make a fun atmosphere.
I sing and I love to play basketball and I love physics.

My name is Mohammad Alyan, I am a math teacher in "Hand In Hand" school.
I live in an Arab village in Jerusalem and I love teaching math very much. In addition to teaching, I love even more to watch soccer games.
I'm very interested in coming to Peace Camp, and watch my students cope with promoting peace in the Middle East.

my name is sarah sheikh, from palestine - jerusalem. ill be turning 16 on april! i study at hand in hand bilingual school.
i love science,especially learning about the world and the creation of the universe.
i keep my vibes positive (A).
i consider myself as a brave person who likes to try new things and to have alot of adventures, oh and by the way my favorite TV show is adventure time and i really like unicorns.
i like playing soccer/football and i also like painting and making short video-art films.
i have an obsession with reading books, my favorite book right now is the perks of being a wallflower.
im debating on becoming a veterinary - because i really like animals or on becoming a mechanical engineer - because i really like tunning cars .
im also in a youth leadership group at the international YMCA.
im friendly and i like meeting new people from different kinds of cultures and nationalities and know theirs stories and what they've been through . i hope that ill have fun and come back home with a feeling that i've learnt something and gave others something too.
